And this is the place planned for the living structure. Just need to clear some of the grass away.

Willow due for cutting
It's the second year for the willow and time for its first hair cut. Plans are to use the cut willow for a living willow teepee, nothing grand but something to practice weaving and to add some structure to the plot. Watch this space!!!

Willow plans
It's the best time of year to give the willow a haircut. I have been patient and it's now it's second year so will need its first cut. I plan to use it as living willow and attempt a teepee and possibly a seat if I am feeling brave.
I plan to cut a circle within the wildflower meadow to plant the teepee structure and see how things go. It may all end in disaster but you have to try new things and what better place than the lotty.
There has been a lot of rain lately so not sure if I can attempt this for a bit but will take a trip over at the weekend and see how things are.
Photos below show ideas courtesy of musgrove willows and willow kits.

Plans for next year
This was once the wildflower meadow which has slightly too much grass now.
Considering what to do on this part next year so any bright ideas then let me know!
Winter preparation
Time for a bit of tidying. Bean canes to take down but leaving corn for the mice to enjoy.
Decided not to dig as there are plenty of worms to do the hard work!
