Am off to get netting today and hoping to sort out the peas later, fingers crossed it is not too wet when I get there.

Still not managed to get the netting and canes. Good job its raining as perfect excuse for not sorting it out.

Will be sorting at weekend, promise.

Lots of lovely rain

Ok, so I am behind on work on the allotment and there has been nothing done over the weekend but the lovely rain has arrived. Really although I am doing nothing, something much more important is doing it work.

Caught the blighters

Bit of late evening watering in greenhouse and caught 4 little snails. OK they were the small pretty ones but they still have no place munching my plants.

Needless to say they went for a little fly into another bit of the garden.

More seeds on the go

Planted some green stripe marrow, pepper and winter squah this evening.

Sorry Feebs but borrowing your windowsill again.

These are all new ones for me, so no idea id will be successful or if they will be yummy.

Hardening off triffids

The borlotti beans have suddenly had a growth spurt. Feebs is happy now they are out of her window and outside getting used to the weather.
They are a bit tangled but I need canes before I can plant them, definitely a job for this week.

Flying slugs

Despite religiously checking the greenhouse, the carrots have all been munched. Whilst sorting the pots out at the weekend I found the culprit.

Coming face to face with a slimy brown slug about 3inches long sitting amongst its munched plants was not pleasant. Time for a maiden flight and good riddance! Need to sow more carrots now and be more vigilant.
