Feeling guilty

So it is still raining which is good but still feeling guilty about neglecting the plot.

Saturday looks a possibility. Artichokes, second batch of sweetcorn and some nasturtiums to plant as well as weeding.

Wellies at the ready...

It's raining again

Brilliant for the plants and my current excuse for not doing the necessary weeding.

Hope the shed doesn't have too much of a puddle on it, poor thing.

Promise I will try and get there this week.

Strawberry bed - before and after - 9th July

An hours work does make all the difference - excellent hoeing and then the rains came so I scarpered home!
There are strawberry plants in there somewhere

Ah, strawberries, blackcurrants and rhubarb re-emerge

Weedy update - Saturday 9th July

Weeds galore

I cannot believe how much the weeds have grown over the last couple of weeks. I wouldn't mind but it is not really the mares tail, lots of thistles and some unidentified ones.

At least the unidentified ones pull out easy but the thistles really hurt as they always find the weak spot in your gloves.

Ah well back to hoeing next time then...as usual.

First raspberries

Its not autumn but my autumn fruiting raspberries provided a well deserved treat, half a dozen glorius sweet treats.

Yummy, roll on more....

Planting update 1st July

Finally the beans are in, along with one batch of sweetcorn, sweet peas and borage.

A good evenings planting.
